The Buffet Challenge

Heck of a challenge to the 'pillars' of the plan last night: "I will not eat anything where I do not know the exact caloric makeup". Stonefire Pizza Co. It's sorta of a Chuck-e-Cheeze on steroids with a full casino-style buffet (pizza, pastas, Chinese, salad, deserts). And....I wasn't just with the family...was with friends as well. I had almost 600 calories remaining when we showed up there. There was simply no non-salad buffet items that met my criteria (except maybe white rice...and for 200 calories per serving, I wasn't touching that). So, I stuck with cucumbers, green peppers and iceberg lettuce. 3 servings of it. Plus diet-pepsi. It was hard. Then one of the other pillars was in jeopardy: "I will not eat off my son's plate". The rest of the table (including son) went back up to the buffet, leaving my son's plate with 3 crispy, golden brown, beckoning chicken nuggets. Surely just one nibble surely wouldn't be missed.....

I didn't do it. Got home a few hours later and gorged on roast beef, fat free bologna, Skinny Cow ice cream and pudding (fitday logs).

1,459 calories, baby! *whew*
